Soapstone and Custom Fireplaces

With all our installations, our principle is “all you need to do is light the fire”, whether you need us to dismantle your old fireplace and install a new Masonry Heater, or put in a Masonry Heater as a first installation. Either way, you will simply need to fill the firebox, light the fire, sit back and enjoy the warmth from your new Masonry Heater.

Our masonry heaters are not just elegant, but also efficient and safe to use. You only need a small amount of wood in a Masonry Heater, which will burn cleanly, generating only a little ash. It will come as no surprise to learn that our masonry heaters exceed even the toughest emissions standards.

Soapstone heaters are excellent at retaining heat, which the stone then releases slowly and steadily as radiant heat to give a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The surface of a Masonry Heater and flue will however remain at a low enough temperature to be safe to touch.

All Turpin’s fireplaces are made of the highest quality natural materials, with close attention to detail and an assurance that the masonry heater will combine elegance with practicality. The doors are designed in-house and offer excellent seals and ease of use, while the heaters themselves are easy to clean and maintain.
